I had a fantastic time in Kenya last week. Lots of lives were changed.
One of the biggest accomplishments was to help around 40 Kenyan art directors see that art can be tied directly to the glory of God. Kudos to Beth Scolaro as she showed some of her paintings and how it tied directly to key verses in the Bible.
We also held a workshop for worship leaders. Expecting 15-30, we ended up getting 160. They all loved hearing about the “Heart of Worship” and realizing that it was, is, and always will be about getting our audience to focus on God’s glory.
But a huge highlight was working with teenagers at the end of my time there. I worked with four teenage ladies the first day and then 12 teenagers the second day. We hit topics from depression to suicide to sex and homosexuality.
I am convinced that teenagers are starving for truth. They’ve been fed milk their whole life and they want meat. The reaction of the students helped confirm this in my heart.
We’ll be creating a new website: www.podcastsforteens.com. I hope to have it up by spring of 2020. I can’t wait to see how it is received.
